What are your favorite off-Broadway shows? I'm going to be in NY for 2 weeks later this month and again for a week and a half in June and I've seen everything I'm interested in on Broadway. I'll probably revisit the King and I and the Color Purple with the raves about the recent cast changes. But I might explore some off Broadway shows.
Ive seen Dear Evan Hansen, Daddy Long Legs, Robber Bridegroom (though I'm planning a repeat visit to that as well), and Dry Powder. Seeing Streetcar Named Desire already.
Any other must-sees right now that I'll be able to get tickets to?

A shame you missed The Woodsman. It closes at the end of May. A wonderful piece of theatre.

I agree about The Woodsman. Glad you're seeing Daddy Long Legs and Dear Evan Hansen, though!

Just realized my post was unclear. My 2 week trip is this month and it's a separate trip in June. So if I can still get tickets, it actually wouldn't be too late for me to catch the Woodsman!
updated my original post. :)

The Woodsman is currently on Goldstar and cheaper than you can get through TodayTix. Go for it!

I really enjoyed Bedlam's production of Sense and Sensibility at the Gym at Judson. They are "on vacation" at the moment and will start performances again on June 17. I found it silly and delightful (but also lacking in diversity).
The other shows I've heard good things about (and have been meaning to see myself), such as The Woodsman and Daddy Long Legs, have already been accounted for!

Thanks all. I'm definitely going to check out the Woodsman. I leave the 20th and have plans already on the 19th so I'll have to see if my schedule works out for Sense and Sensibility but I'll check it out!

I recommend Cagney off-Broadway! It just opened in March/April, and got nominated for a few Drama Desk and Outer Critic's Circle Awards. Amazing choreography and great performances by the whole cast, especially Robert Creighton in the title role.
