I'm trying to find the name of a play - premiered off broadway - or maybe during the fringe festival...

it was a small 3 or 4 character play about a young hustler who visits a priest and attempts to seduce him. it is insinuated that the hustler had been an altar boy under the priest years earlier... the boy's mother I believe appears in the story as well - and we're forced to wonder if its a scam in an attempt to black mail the priest - a lot of twists and turns... it received mixed to favorable reviews as I recall... Anyway... if anyone knows the name of the show and/or the playwright your help would be greatly appreciated.

it was a play called Catherdal.
It is about a Priest and a Hustler.

"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."

I recall a play -- cannot recall the title -- that was produced five or more years ago at one of the smaller stages at Theatre Row. It had the characters you describe. I did not find it an enjoyable evening in any respect Wish I could help you with the name of the show, but it was completely forgettable.
