Any suggestions?
I'm desperate to see something, but don't have enough money to see anything new, and I've seen all the old stuff/it's closing. Pretty depressing situation. So I figured I'd see if there's anything off broadway that people think is worth checking out!

Thanks :)

When are you going? I've heard great things about What's That Smell?

Thanks, I'll look at it!

I'll probably be going either January 4th or 5th!

i've dared to recommend it on other boards, but I am a fan of "rock of ages." a really fun time and the price is right. It's moving to bway in the spring so might be worth your while to check it out while it's cheap!

Dear Edwina. Though semi-advertised as a kids show, it does not pander to the audience and the songs are well-crafted.

I got a bunch of suggestion from a thread earlier this month:

https://forum.broadwayworld.com/readmessage.cfm?thread=985760&dt=14&boardid=1

(Sorry....I have no idea how to tinyurl...I'm an old fart!)

I've decided to see the following:

December:
Billy Elliot
Road Show
Re-Write
Boeing Boeing
What's That Smell

January:
Garden of Earthly Delights
Becky Shaw
The American Plan
Spring Awakening (closing night)

February:
Hedda Gabler
33 Variations
Hair

A pretty decent variety!

DEFINITELY get to the final performance of Improbable Frequency, it's a hoot (and) the score/book are both glorious and EXTREMELY well-crafted and witty. See my review. January 4th @ 3pm.

Any idea if reWrite is doing any sort of student rush, or is on TKTS. I ask because I want to see it, but I usually only have a limited amount of time between work and seeing a show, so I'd like to know if I should run up to TKTS or just go straight to the theater and try for a student ticket. I mean, $40 isn't bad, but it'd be nice to get something cheaper since it's Christmas and money is tight!
