During the strike, I'm trying to make the best of seeing Off-Broadway shows (which I know that I don't do enough of). These are the shows I'm considering:
Gone Missing
I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change
Die Mommie, Die
Doris to Darlene: A Cautionary Valentine (Is the closing date listed because it's a limited engagement, or because the first 3 previews went so badly that it's already posted a closing notice?)
Jump
The Gazillion Bubble Show
What are your opinions on these shows?
Not on your list, but I saw Trumpery this weekend and really liked it. It was a little slow in the first act, but I felt it really picked up. The performances were all wonderful and the sets and lighting are amazing. Just something to think about!
I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change was a lot of fun, very funny!
I'm also gonna suggest (like I always do) Frankenstein!
I, I'm sorry to say, walked out of Doris to Darlene: A Cautionary Valentine during intermission. That was during first preview, though, so take that for what its worth.
I too also enjoyed Frankenstein.
Don't forget Forbidden Broadway!
Unless your under 5 skip The Gazillion Bubble Show.

I would have said Forbidden Broadway, but I saw it the Friday before the strike started. Just for the record, I saw Make Me a Song today, so that should be counted out too.

I would say Die Mommie Die is a MUST SEE. Also, it's not on your list but The Glorious Ones at The Mitzi Newhouse Theatre was wonderful and charming with a great cast and score.

Yeah, I'm planning on seeing the Glorious Ones, so felt no need to list it. Ahrens and Flaherty are possibly my favorite song-writing team out there.

I would say Make Me A Song and Die Mommy Die.

I saw Things We Want at New Stages this weekend. Engaging play, very funny and thought-provoking. The 4 actors (Josh Hamilton, Paul Dano, Peter Dinklage and Zoe Kazan) are all fabulous.
The broadwaybox code had expired, but worked anyway so I bought my tix for 40 dollars. Very entertaining, great price.
you may also consider going to the opening weekend of:
I KNOCK AT THE DOOR and PICTURES IN THE HALLWAY
Opens Nov 23rd at
The New Globe Theatre
311 West 43rd St., 3rd floor

Also SPEECH & DEBATE-Roundabout Black Box theater. It is sold out, but you can call for any cancellations. A terrific play, hilarious, topical and wonderful performances.
Skip RAG & BONE unless your appetite for whimsical twee is truly epic.
I'm surprised more folks aren't seeing QUEENS BOULEVARD...$20, folks! But then, I haven't seen it either...but I'm going to!

Die Mommie Die
Make Me A Song
Peter and Jerry
Queens Blvd.
I saw Dai (enough) at the 47th Street Theatre last night, never caught it during its run last year, and I thought it was absolutely brilliant, loved it, highly recommend- just putting another title out there, for those looking for Off-Broadway recommendations.
Dai (enough)- NYTimes review
I just saw Queens Boulevard and it was...very interesting, at the very least. A ton of really amazing moments. Not sure about the cohesive whole, but for $20? Totally worth it.
If you can get tix to Speech and Debate, you must.
Funny, smart, topical, full of love for theatre geeks...
If you know what HI, DI, OO, and L/D are, then you have to see it.
