The date has been pushed from June 13 to June 27. Some dialogue tracks (of the Man in Chair) will appear, with background music. There will be NO dialogue on the music tracks, except for in "Bride's Lament."
Nightingale and I Remember Love will appear as bonus tracks at the end of the show recording. Nightingale won't be in the order it appears in the show.
In addition, a vynal edition of the recording will be available in the future, as a collector's item. It will just include the music.
"Deutsch, who is producing the cast album with Joel Moss, said some new music was created to accompany the spoken tracks of Man in Chair, played by Tony nominee Bob Martin. The narration tracks are distinct from the song tracks (except for in "Bride's Lament," when Man in Chair is involved in the scene). If fans wanted to, they could program their CD to play only the music tracks, thus getting the 2006 creative team's desired effect — a suggestion of a 1928 cast album of a vintage show written by the (fictive) team of Gable & Stein."

For all those non-New Yorkers out there who want to order the CD now and not pay Colony's ridiculous prices, Footlight is sending out orders starting today for $16.95 + $3 shipping. I'd say that's pretty good for getting it 3 weeks early and I'm all for supporting Footlight!

Will stores on Long Island have the Drowsy OBC prior to 627 or do I have to trudge into Manhattan for it?

I was able to order a copy from Best Buy in NJ for in-store pickup. We'll see when I actually get there, but they've got it available on the website.
ETA: I feel totally scammed. They NEVER had it in, and now Best Buy has my money for 8 days until they credit my card. They don't do immediate refunds- and when your card is close to the limit, this stuff ticks you off. BEWARE!
