do we really want to start telling people NOT to come to Broadway? I personally would not waste a nickel on her, but she does have a big following and any buzz for one show, is buzz for all

I never thought she was very good, and she's been very irresponsible allowing anti-science nonsense which all the bored housewives eat up like so much cottage cheese.

What does it mean "sock of the off-topic" whatever? I am one person with one account. Sorry if you don't like my opinions, but don't go accusing me of things you have no idea about, honey child.

Oprah is also in the new Forrest Whitaker movie. I don't remember the name but it looks pretty good. Haven't seen much of her in the trailer though. I bet if she was just Oprah onstage people will praise her for her performance. Probably will end up in at least a Tony nomination.

Oprah's new movie is called "The Butler" and has nothing to do with Rhett.

It sounds fantastic and I hope to see it this weekend when it opens in the DC area. I think Oprah plays the title character's wife.

As someone who's actually been part of a bid to bring Oprah to the legitimate stage, I can say she'd most likely be arriving in a drama.

The details of the show we offered her are subject to confidentiality, except to say that it's a modern update of an established piece (one of Ibsen's better-known plays), but she would be perfect for it.

Since 2005, I've been lucky enough to be involved in a ton of Broadway-bound projects. Due to the nature of the business, especially in recent economic climates, they've tended to be of the "always a bridesmaid, never a bride" variety, but things are looking really good of late.
