Hi all! I'm a huge fan of John Mulaney and was wondering if anyone could give any information about if either Nick or John (mostly John) come out often, how crowded it is, ect. It would be greatly appreciated!
I saw it last Monday (11/7), and both Nick and John came out after the show. The stage door wasn't crowded at all, the wait was about 15-20 minutes, and they both signed and took photos with everyone who asked. I don't know if it's like that all the time, but that was my experience. I loved the show, and I hope you get a chance to see it and meet them!

I was there for the Sunday night show of Halloween weekend and I basically had the same stage door experience as the poster above me.
Yup, same. Only issue I had was that Kroll wanted to sign my Mulaney poster, heh.

Just bought tix for Sunday's matinee show. Does anyone know if they come out during matinees? Also, do the guests of the show come out as well? This will most likely get no answers...

Can't answer about matinees (I went Wed night this week) but both came out and were extremely friendly, took pics, etc. Note the stage door is around the back of the theater which may also be why it's not that crowded - so head to the back. Our guests were Judd Apatow, his wife Leslie Mann and their two daughters (I love Apatow and was thrilled). They walked out first and straight to a car, no eye contact. But I imagine it may depend on the guest. However, even guests inclined to stop may be professionally courteous enough not to steal John and Nick's thunder so they may not.

Thank you for that info.. I will try after the matinee either way. also Judd is great with the fans so was probably either like you said , not trying to steal thunder or he was being respectful to his family

Anyone have anymore info on the stage door more recently? Seeing it in two weeks and can't wait, would love to meet John!

They definitely come out after night shows. they did not come out after matinee though
I went on a matinee and they didn't come out. However, they did the broadway cares fundraiser that day and if you paid $100 you get to go on stage, take photos with them (plust the guest), and get autographed posters.

John was ill recently and performing while sick. I don't know if that affected his stage door habits, but it might have. Assuming they're both in good health, I imagine they will be stage dooring. They're both really nice, personable guys who seem to enjoy meeting fans.

They are two of the most friendly actors we've encountered at stage doors (not to say there aren't many others). At least the night we were there, John was shaking everyone's hand and saying "hi, I'm John" as if we didn't have a reason to know. And it seemed completely genuine like he was just some guy out at a party trying to strike up conversation. It was adorable. Both seemed genuinely thankful for their fans. Definitely a great experience.
Can anyone tell me how crowded it's been? I was thinking it would be less crowded than others because it's just the two of them, but I guess I don't really know how famous they are to people. Just wondering if I need to run out of the theater to get to the front of the barricades (I'm really short and stagedooring is very hard unless I'm in the front!)

It wasn't at all crowded when we were there (thanksgiving week). The stage door is at the back of the theater rather than the obvious front barricade so that helps. We overheard and followed a small group of people who texted a friend who had previously stage doored and all of us ended up right up front. No running involved. So just head to the back right away and you will probably be fine.
