Please keep your thoughts with Ojai as it battles terrible wildfires along with the rest of southern California. Some of Broadways biggest hits (Fun Home included) had their first readings at the Ojai Playwrights Conference. Our family's Estate, (my late aunt's home) which is down the road from the Besant Hill School in the Upper Ojai Valley burned to the ground on Tuesday morning, and most of the upper valley is in ruins. One of the OPC founder's home was also burned to the ground. The town of Ojai is now under threat. This town is home to artists of all kinds- your positive thoughts are welcome.

really? that's how you respond? This is the place where tons of Broadway plays and musicals are born. And it's been destroyed or is on fire. Plus, I just said that my family's house burned down. nice.

Here in San Diego, we are thinking of our friends to the north. Stay strong. This video shows not only the horror of the fires, but a bit of human kindness, as well.

My opening "Indeed" was intended as short for "Yes, my thoughts are with the folks who are suffering there." And they are. Perhaps that wasn't clear enough. But your comment above -- in which you essentially demand sympathy -- seems peculiar and excessively needy, especially in this forum.
