Today's THE VIEW featured the segment of Whoopi's one-night stint in THE LION KING on Broadway. Looked like a fun night in the theatre, with as minimal distraction of the story as possible during this stunt.
Meaning no disrespect, I had to laugh, though, watching the white Music Director and white Associate Director teach these African songs, words, and dance to this African-American woman.

I just saw it, and I thought it was awesome. I think that if she was to go into more rehearsal, they should of had her do one role throughout the night.
Although, if someone was there that night, was Whoopi Rafiki for most of Act II. From the clips it seemed like she was.
