Completely enjoying this cast recording today and reliving all of the encredible performances from a few weeks ago.

Lily is a role that could have been written for Kristin I see why she pursued this project for almost 10 years....

36 tracks, so a much more complete soundtrack than the OBC...

some favorite tracks include:

Because of Her(was i unfaithful....it was pittsburgh NOTHING counts in Pittsburgh)

There's are 36 reasons why this won Best Original Score in 1978. Thank you Cy Coleman, Betty Comden and Adolph Green...

This is a must own cast recording, IMHO....enjoy

Chenoweth does sound terrific on this, and Gallagher sounds better than I thought he would (although he still sounds like a pale imitation of John Cullum/John Barrymore).

But those orchestrations, even beefed up for the recording, still sound thin and tinny compared to the original.

I appreciate the recording of every bit of music from the score (though significantly altered by lesser talents, as some of it has been).

I still can't get past the fact that they cut the act 1 finale on a TWO DISC recording.
