once a year BC/EFA has it's Flea Market.ON THAT ONE DAY (yes,they only sell it one day a year) they sell the 10 year reunion concert version.It's wonderful.Get it and see for yourself.At the end Lilias White does COME DOWN FROM THE TREE

I think it's a fantastic show :) I didn't really like the end though, but I think it was just the transition of the show in general. One minute I was almost crying, and then the cast just shouted out and I was startled and almost started laughing.

I saw it performed at a summer camp I went to last year, and I have to say that the cast of my show (Godspell) almost died watching it, wondering how on earth we could top that! It's phenomenal. From the music to the characters to the dancing (assuming you've got a good coreogprapher) and everything, it's awesome :)

I saw it on Broadway and while I enjoyed it I couldn't say it was amongst my favourite shows. The storyline is thin and it kind of wears out it welcome.

^^^ it turned out to be an amazing show. my main pic is from that show....i absolutely loved playing Erzulie. SO much fun... it truly was moving... i cried every night. hahaha

I am Daniel Beauxhomme in it and am soooo loving it right now. Though, not loving my vocal callus. Something cool about my production is that at the end of "Human Heart", our Erzulie sings the final "heart" a full octave and a fifth above where the final note is. She is truly a wide ranging lyric soprano 1. What's cool is that it isn't huge and belty, it was really soft, as should be, just way higher. It is "amahzing."

OOTI is a fantastic show...one of the best experiences that I have had in theatre!!

Had to bump this thread. I just got cast as Mama Euralie, and I'm so estatic, this is a huge role for me. I'm also nervous as heck, some singing stuff is hard for her (or me, whatever comes first). But I just fell in love with these songs, and the story is so different than anything we've done before, but absolutely beautiful. I just got cast on Saturday, so I still wake up and I'm like, "Oh my God, I'm Mama Euralie!" It's so hard to believe, at least for me. So great show, and to the original poster, good luck, and have fun with it. I can't wait until my own production in June :)

We are doing the Jr. Version, and I just got cast as Daniel's father, aka Armand. It is a pretty small part, but my drama teacher says he is adding some more stuff from the original show for me, so its pretty cool. We are doing it for the entire school (students, parents, faculty, and guests) in our gym on April 26th. The few cool things about our production is that we are getting a hydrolic lift, so at the end when Ti Moune is transformed into a tree, she is going to be on the lift, and we are going to cover the lift to look like a tree, so it will grow, and grow and all. also, my teacher is adding a small STOMP-like section to the thunderstorm scene with sticks and all. its cool.

Forgive me for my lack of knowledge but is this the show with the gods looking down upon that one girl. (wow that makes me sound really stupid)

Anyways I think I know what it is and remember being obsessed with it when I was younger.

so much fun to be in...i'm not gonna lie- as much of a man as I am- I pretty much cried at every show
rain and why we tell the story are great
justchillin- yes OOTI is the show where the gods are looking down on the girl
