I will be in the city for thanksgiving weekend and was wondering how ONCE rush has been like lately, and for anyone who has rushed for shows during thanksgiving weekend in the past before, how early I should get there? I'm looking at seeing shows on Black Friday or the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
Also, I know this may be a long shot but do Broadway shows offer discount tickets for thanksgiving weekend?

Discounts aren't likely. Thanksgiving marks the beginning of the Christmas season, when theaters do brisk business.

While the Thanksgiving weekend is traditionally strong, the two weeks after are not strong at all. The crush does not come until Christmas and New Year's week.

Although I agree with what's been typed already, I do think it will be possible. Consider getting to theater around 8a and you should be fine.
