Dauntless was played by the cute jock in my high school too (who was a very involved in drama) he was really good in the role actually very funny. The songs are fun.
As far as the age thing...they are just playing older, it really has nothign to do with the plot. The fact that they are older is not cause he can not marry, she decided that when he is at marrying age (back then you were married off quite young) that he can ONLY marry a princess of real royal blood and put all his suitors thru ridiculous challenges which they fail of course..so it is not that he can not marry, he can if they pass. it is about how high of standards she is making it. Princess Winnifred is unphased by anything she throw at her. In turn causing Dauntless to want her to win more and more and she does

is the black guy the gay guy from spin city?
I don't know if the man on the far left is the Wizard or the Minstrel, but I love his shoes!
Yeah but I think it is more a new thing as something that has taken ages, ya know. Like he is of marrying age and wants to be married and she instills this rule cause she is frightened of him leaving her. At least that has been the vibe when I have seen it. If it took eons for her to allow her son to marry I think people in the Kingdom would just establish she is batty and move on with there lives in someway, as well as an audience. I do not know, I just have never seen it from that angel and do not necessarily believe it from that angel..I will see when it comes out...but for Carol Burnette to say it is more believable this way I would have to disagree cause I think she was just defending the casts age (cause we Know Marissa Jaret Winokour was suppose to be Winnifred Originally)
I am sure it will be good, but it is a new spin

well marissa isnt exactly young either, even if she can pass for 16, shes more like 30.
She passed for Tracy In hairspray, so she could pass for a 20 something. Tracy Ullman could to, as we have seen from her shows, but they seemed to go the older route.
i read that it is scheduled for February 12, 2005. not sure if that is exact tho..can't wait to see it!!

Michael Boatman (Spin City) is the Jester.
Edward Hibbert (Frasier) is the Wizard.
I don't remember the Wizard but I do remember Sir Studley who seems to be missing from the photo.
What exactly was the wizard's role in the story?
I was in a production of this show in high school but clearly it was too long ago.
