Once on TKTS

I try to snag a pair of tickets this past Friday since it was 50% off. Sadly all they have left were partial view seats at 95 bucks. I understand all the good seats were gone since it was 7ish by the time i got there but how on earth are 50% off tickets 95 dollars, let alone partial view. Has anyone here has gotten tickets to Once at 50 % off and how much did you pay? Thanks

Are you sure it was 50%? Not all the tickets there are...usually I've seen tix for Once at 30% off. (Which seems to be correct given the numbers you posted.)

Once on TKTS

My Once ticket was 30 percent off and partial view. Ended up being far left lower mezz. There was only about 2 percent of the stage obstructed, and not once could I not see the main action. Only thing missed was a couple actors standing along the wall (who were not really part of the scene, if you are familiar with Once's staging).

View is just fine, don't worry about the partially obstructed wording.

It was 50% off. I know it usually is 30% off but lately it has been 50% off as well.

I can only say that friends got half price tickets when TKTS first opened a couple weeks ago (for a Wed. Matinee). They paid in the $70 range and got house seats -- 5th or 6th row center orchestra.

That's also what happened with me for Newsies. I'm suddenly thinking being almost first in line for these shows is a good way to get the best seats -- especially if they're releasing house seats via TKTS.

I was at TKTS around 6pm tonight and I saw most of the shows were 50% off. No clue what seats were available.

Once
Newsies
Spiderman
Nice Work If You Can Get It
Annie
Phantom
Rock of Ages

Fascinating, indeed. What, pray tell, is your point?

His/her point is obvious Knowitallmama....I mean jerkmama.....I mean condescendingmana.....I mean, whatever. It is that Once was 50% off at the booth and not the 30% off that you claim. I've seen it at 50% off myself, and in fact, according to the TKTS app, it was 50% off as recently as tonight.

So, I guess, "pray tell", the poster's point is that just because someone spews information, it doesn't mean that information is correct.

I didn't claim to KNOW anything, I just suggested that maybe the OP was mistaken because usually its on for 30% and the math seem to back that up.

The second posters comment didn't seem to be connected other than a list of what was available on that specific day. S/he made no point as to why they were listing it. AND perhaps if that poster came back to explain him/herself, things might have been clear from the get go.

I remembering hearing someone at TKTS saying that ONCE usually was 30% unless it only had partial view, then it would be 50% for those. In which case, everyone's right! (Except, of course, for the sideswiped name-calling. That was just jarringly uncalled for.)
Words don't deserve that kind of malarkey. They're innocent, neutral, precise, standing for this, describing that, meaning the other, so if you look after them you can build bridges across incomprehension and chaos. But when they get their corners knocked off, they're no good anymore…I don't think writers are sacred, but words are. They deserve respect. If you get the right ones in the right order, you can nudge the world a little.
