How on earth could you pick one song for the rest of your life...I would have enough trouble doing that for one day...I have favourite songs depending on my moods...if i was deliriously happy for the rest of my life then I would want something like "Comedy Tonight" (Nathan Lane's version...i dont know why, I just think it's funnier than Zero Mostel's) if I was to be pathetically depressed forever I would wallow in my melancholy with "Losing My Mind" or "There's a Fine, Fine Line", if I were still to be depressed, but with a little more hope mixed in it would be "Unworthy of Your Love" (a conglomeration with Alexander Gemignani of the revival cast singing Hinkley and Annie Golden of the original cast singing Fromme). If I were to see the light at the end of my dreary existence it would be "Move On" (either just Berny from "sondheim, Etc" or with Mandy Patinkin from the OBC of Sunday in the Park With George)...if I were to be incapacitatated for the rest of my life, with nothing to do but sit on the internet it would be "The Internet is For Porn" :P, if I were pissed off with my lover "Every Day A Little Death" or "Could I Leave You?", or pissed of at the world "Epiphany"...maybe I should stop...I'm going to get roasted for not choosing one...and I seem to sound like some strange little Sondheim freak (not so untrue)...maybe I should choose one song...Rose's Turn with Ethel, Angela, Bette and Berny singing...

What else can you say about a Sondheim song that expresses ideal life philosophy with a pleasant tune and easy to follow lyrics?

A ha! I've found another loophole. I would elimate all the breaks between tracks on the Rent OCR, and listen to that. I becomes one long song. lol

SOMETHING WONDERFUL from The King And I. Using the arrangement from the Julie Andrews-Ben Kingsley -recording. It just doesn't get any better than that.

Ohh god this is way too hard! It would probobly be something from L5Y, Parade, TTB, or Taboo. Or maybe "Not a day goes by" or something from Show Boat like "Old Man River" or "Can't help lovin'....". Idecisive much, I know! Ohh well I guess I'll have to say no comment.

Do the 2 parts La Vie Boheme count as one song? I think I would pick that, but thats way too difficult to chose. I was also thinking 'Not Me' or 'Elaborate Lives' from Aida or 'Louder Than Words' from Tick Tick Boom. Too hard to narrow down from there!

Ahhh, Beaverhausen, I love you. Just listening to that song makes me want to get up and tap, even though I can't tap well at all.
This is a hard question. I want to say something from The Producers, but I think I'll have to settle with the finale from La Cage aux Folles. At the end, when they start clapping, it...I don't know. It's very powerful. I love it.

That is WAY too hard of a question but I will go with "I'm not afraid of anything" from "Songs for a new world" for now.
