Well, I generally hate the concept of jukebox musicals. And I hate the music of Blondie so nothing could ever have forced me to drag myself to see this one, I'm afraid.

They may well have worked for the show but it's just not my kind of music. I was tempted to give it a try as I LOVE Emma Williams. But I listened to clips of Blondie songs and they made me want to scream. If I had sat through 2 plus hours of that they would have been dragging me away in a straight jacket. lol

I can imagine that people who like that kind of music would have loved the show. But, as I've said so many times, everyone's tastes in music and in shows is different.

You don't need to justify yourself to me Bobby boy, I'm only kidding! I realise DSS was shoddy and that the music didn't carry the plot at all, but still, I absolutely loved it and actually quite enjoy the mockery I get on here for being such a fan.

I would never deign to mock, lovepigeon. You like what you like - it's as simple as that.

Awww i dont think it was Boring, it held my attention and was fun and frivelous. The problem the show had was that it just screamed 'im pointless'
It couldnt improve or come close to the film, the songs were more than shoe horned in (most of the time it made no sense) and it just didnt stand out at all, you had forgotten the show by the time you left the theatre.

I did however like the art work for the show
Namo i love u but we get it already....you don't like Madonna

lol Lovepigeon

Im glad the sho has found a new lease of life, i think the critics were far to harsh on this.
It seemed like if the show could have toured first or had a bit more time it could have worked out the problems, i know they ere changing this show loads during previews so they saw the problems that needed changing, but a 2 week preview period just was not enough.
I have to say i liked this better than We Will Rock You and Mamma Mia
