I attended my first opening night last night, THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, and was disappointed to find that my Playbill didn't have an 'opening night' sticker on it. Is that just for the swells sitting down in the orchestra and not for those of us in the cheap seats?

I didn't think they had the sticker on them unless you actually ordered them from Playbill.com. But, I could be wrong. The main title page should have the opening night date above the producers and all that. That's the way you can tell it's an opening night playbill...although you can get those days before and after also. :)

Playbills only have stickers on opening night if the producers pay extra money for them.

I believe, the last show that had stickers was DEMOCRACY. Before that, it was NEVER GONNA DANCE.

True. I actually attended the 2pm Saturday showing of the Drowsy Chaperone and got an opening night playbill as well. Though isn't the show great!

The stickers are on them only if you buy it off playbill.com. Otherwise, for about a week or so, you can get them at the theater, without the sticker.

Not true, Yankee. I have received stickers at two opening night performances - DEMOCRACY and NEVER GONNA DANCE. It's up to the producers.

I don't know anything about stickers...but Woman in White had a pretty awesome opening night insert, but 3 Days of Rain had nothing in it to me that even ackowledged it was opening night.

3 Days of Rain had the opening night date on the top of the main page.

I've been to a good number of opening nights and I've never received a playbill w/ a sticker on it. Saying that, apparently the producers of Democracy and Never Gonna Dance paid for stickers.

I received an Opening Night Playbill to The Frogs, two performances before it officially opened. It just had the simple Opening Night text inside.
