Does anyone have pictures from the set design for the OBC of Mame. I love this show but have rarely seen anything from the OBC.

I want to say till Labor Day. When I staged door the show in July, alot of the cast said they were in the show till latter day.

What type of theatre lover would you recommend In the Heights for. I ask this because I'm debating getting tickets to it for my mother. My mom loves the classics and her favorite shows are Evita and My Fair Lady. Although when I heard that it was very hip hop infused I stopped because I'm not sure whether sure enjoy a hip hop score. Would you recommend this show for her. Right now I'm debating between ITH and Damn Yankees. Thanks in advance for all your wisdom!

Ok, so I'm turning to the board for wisdom. For my mother's birthday I'm taking her to see a broadway show. Its a tradition we've had for six years. Anyway I'm debating between getting tickets for Damn Yankees or In the Hieghts. My mother is a fan of classic musicals but for her those range between My Fair Lady, Evita, Rent and The Lion King. Does anybody have a recommendation? I was thinking about 'In the Heights' but haven't really heard raves about it. Thanks in advance!

I agree he's great in the role and I love the fact that his performence was preserved for those of us who weren't first around to see it. Still it find it funny they didn't dump grey for someone alittle bit more hollywood. I don't know...

I was watching 'Cabaret' the other night and a question struck me that I thought some of the more knowlegdable broadway folk on this board could answer. Why was Joel Grey cast in 'Cabaret' the movie? I don't mean this in a negative way, but after Julie Andrews didn't get 'My Fair Lady' and Carol Channing didn't get 'Hello Dolly' why did hollywood cast Grey. With hollywood's track record, I thought that they would have wanted a bigger star for the role?

A majority of them are actors who want to go into musical theatre. That being said while they have been taught theory, many of them have never been taught the history of musical theatre. Hello Everybody, I work with performing arts students who range from about 17-19 and this wednseday I'm putting together a 'Company' watch party. I wanted to know if anybody had any ideas on how to market 'Company' to this age group. A lot these kids think 'Wicked', 'Legally Blonde' and 'Spring Awakening' when they hear musical theatre. Are there any ideas people had on how I can market a watch party to students who think Elphaba is the greatest gift to musical theatre? Thanks-

Does anyone know if there are any discounts for My Fair Lady at the Kennedy Center for Jan. 2008. I wasn't able to find any and wanted to know if there were any discounts I could use. I've never seen the show or the movie and I've heard great things so I'm very excited. I would just like great seats without paying a fortune. Thanks as always!

I got to watch this at work on wednseday and I was not impressed. The songs barely kept my interest, sutton looked bored and I did laugh once. At least I didn't pay $450 a seat.

They do not have a new marquee up yet. I looked on friday night and saw nothing. You have to give Disney credit because they move fast.

The stage door is actually to doors down from the box offic door and has a picture of the original cast. Now after the show they have two sets of barricades lined down the left and the right side and the bottom at the street is wide open. This was where the major issues were because fans started crowding around that with nothing to hold them back. It got the point where the crowd was so large that it started to block 41st street. We went last night, Friday, and for starters they did not lotto-off the SRO tickets. They simply announced after the lotto that they had SRO and partial view tickets on sale. We ended up buying partial view for $45 dollars, third row, great seats. Overall I thought Adam and Anthony were great! Adam seemed to be on autopilot and by that I mean that I believe that he has played the role for so long that he can still turn out a great performance and he doesn’t have to think about it. I went saturday nite and there were roughly 60 people there. We won but they only gave away 12 pairs of seats, front row. I say if you bring a friend its worth a shot. The draw at 5:30 sharp so be there.

Does anyone know if I can purchase SRO for Rent before the lottery. Talkin broadway states that they do sell them when the box office opens can anyone varify this. Also if this is true can you buy one SRO ticket or two and is there a line to do so? Thanks!
