Wasn't there talk awhile back about Oprah being on Broadway in the near future? What role do you think would suite her best?
This is a pointless post. Of course people are going to say ever big black woman in every show that has a big black woman ever. Who knows if she can even sing.

munk, must we be so negative? There is more to Broadway than singing. Broadway_freak simply asked a question, no need to be nasty
Sorry I asked... I didn't know it was pointless... I just wanted to know.. I think she could be good in some plays..

I'm sure she would be great in some plays. She was very good in that movie she was in (the title escapes me at the moment...)
Yah definitely - she was AMAZING in The Color Purple, she's a brilliant actress. I would have loved to see her as Steevie in THE GOAT. I don't think she'll ever make her way to Broadway anytime soon though...
And to everyone above,
thank you, I appreciate you telling me what's necessary and what's not. But it's really unnecessary - dont make a habit of telling people what to do it's really, TRULY obnoxious.
But you don't really have to be rude to everyone.. even if the post is stupid you don't have to comment.
I didn't say it was stupid. And I wasn't talking to you. Mind you're own business, douche. I enjoy being rude.

And you wonder why I call you a troll? Go kick a puppy or something, munkus.
Are you encouraging animal cruelty? I don't think that's funny - even if you were joking.
Yikes, calm down people!
I was being sarcastic - obviously she wasn't serious. However, I would love to see Oprah be Stevie from THE GOAT

Reality speaking... Isn't The Color Purple coming to a Broadway playhouse near you?? (alias NYC)
I think I would like to see her act again. She's talented, if not maybe as an actress, then she should at least be acknowledged in all her other achievements.
What on earth do you mean? Try it in English.

You said that she's talented, if maybe not as an actress...etc. What the **** does that mean? OBVIOUSLY, she's an amazing actress - her peformance in TCP is among the greatest I have ever seen. Was that really the point? How old are you?

Then what exactly is YOUR point? I was merely defending the prospect of seeing Oprah perform live on a Broadway stage. And then pointing out that even if you don't see her as a talented actress (which it seemed like you didn't) that she has many other talents that could extend into the theatrical world.
I'm 20... does it matter??
Well I already said earlier in the post that I think she's amazing...and if she couldn't act what else could extend in to theatre...as you say? You're 20, yet you type very unclearly. I'm not getting into this tonight.

I really don't understand how I type unclearly... and I've seen people on this board who are much less articulate then I am. WTF is your problem with this?! seriously... whatever... I'm also saying that she would make a great producer as well, and she probably has other hidden talents. I don't know them, but I'm sure they exist... she's amazing
Too bad you guys strayed off subject. Oprah is a great personality and a good actress. She was fabulous in the Color Purple and received an Oscar nomination for her performance. She was good in Beloved also, but the movie as a whole was not that great. I don't see her having time to do a show, though, with her talk show consuming all her time...but she'd probably be very good..
I wonder if she ever would produce a show. That would be hot. The initial message you typed was really really unclear, that's all.

It's possible... 15 hours of tech can do that to a person...
