PJ, how old are you? 12?????

Suggestion, if you want to see GYPSY, go ahead and buy the tickets. If it's a good show you'll enjoy it from ANY seat. If not, wait until Susan Lucci takes over. Then you'll be able to get ANY seat you want.

Remember, Shakespeare said "The play's the thing", not "The seat's the thing".

Geeze!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FYI: I'm 17. Get off my ass all of you. I just though I'd share my ticket buying experience w/ a group of "friends." Silly me, next time I won't say a word. I see Broadway.com's board rearing it's ugly head on here...

PJ, you were ordering a theater ticket, not re-writing the Gettysburg Address. Settle down! You're 17 years old. Stop acting like you're 12!

DollyPop, there you go mentioning that Lucci woman! Tisk Tisk. LOL Remember, she's good on TV...not Broadway....NEVER BROADWAY.

If you guys don't care about PJ's ticketing experience, then don't click on the thread. I for one am interested to find out the final result.

PJ, I think you are setting your standards too high as far as where you want your seats to be, and when. You're probably not going to get 4th row center anytime soon. You'll be lucky if you even get row M on one of the sides (which is still good).

Are you looking for a week night performace, or a Friday or Saturday? And what month? Because the summer performances are pretty much booked for good seats.

Has anyone tried to get tickets through BROADWAY INNER CIRCLE?
There's a chance I might be in NYC later this month and the 2 main shows I want to see are GYPSY and HAIRSPRAY. Just my luck I want to see the 2 hottest shows at the moment.

Well, you're definitely better off going on a weeknight. Also, If you can't get good orchestra seats, consider front Mezz. The Shubert's mezzanine is actually really good. As far as Orchestra goes, anything past row M or N is not the greatest...but you can see. And the Left and Right sides are fine, as long as you're more centered (meaning right or left but towards the middle). If you sit too far left or right you will miss some behind-the-scenes scenes. LOL

Welp I got 'em today. Center Orchestra Row N. Seats 109 and 110. It's for the matinee, which I wanted to avoid, but I called CareTix and here they only sell tickets for a few months at a time. Who know? I would have had to wait 'til November to get tickets the guy told me. Now I just have to hope that Bernadette plays the matinee on Dec. 6

Dear PJ,

I read the saga of your purchasing tickets for GYPSY and with amusement the range of replies it generated. I'm happy that you appear to be pleased with the seats you were finally able to secure. If you would allow me I might suggest that the next time before paying that unwarranted surcharge try asking those of us who live in Manhattan for some assistance. I for one, properly armed with your pertinent information, would have gone to the Shubert boxoffice and purchased your tickets and I would not have charged you a premium. Who knows? Some of us Manhattanites may sometimes be in a position to secure house seats for you to purchase in the future. It never hurts to ask. At some time or other we have all lived "on a farm in Pennsylvania." Enjoy the show.

Yours for a better Broadway!

Thanks Broadway Bulldog. I never even considered that because none of you on the board really know me and I didn't think I'd be trusted.
