So, just decided to purchase a ticket to the Spongebob Musical. I admit, I enjoyed the earlier seasons of the show, and I could never bring myself to hate a cartoon that once referenced the 1922 silent horror film classic, Nosferatu. That, and I like the music of a lot of the artists working on it, so my interest was strong. But mostly, both of my older brothers are coming to stay for the summer, and having them together can sometimes resemble a hive of angry bees (if bees knew how to pick up and throw chairs at each other), so I thought I desperately needed a day out this summer.
I decided to go with the Dress Circle Row A Seat 247. I haven't been to the Oriental Theatre in a while, but was assured by the ticket agent that this was a good seat with a great view of the stage. Has anyone sat in the Dress Circle? I know it's just above the Orchestra section, but how high up is it?
Going on June 18th. It will be a good way to hold out until my NY theater trip in mid-November.

Haven't been to the oriental in awhile but that should be an excellent seat. The dress circle is below the mezzanine so it's not too high. The only problem with it is the mezzanine overhang if you're too far back but you should be fine in A. To me compared to almost all the New York theaters all the Chicago dress circles/mezzanines feel a little far back but that's just because the theaters are huge. You should have a great view.
