I actually love this, the muted tones are simple and classy and the design echoes both the original poster which is a GOOD THING, *and* it has this classic fairy tale storybook look to it, with the purposely fake, artsy waves that remind me of the cover of a storybook for the tale of the little mermaid, not necessarily the Disney version. But you can still see the glimmer of her hair is red and the pose is the same as the Disney version...it reminds me of the London logo for Poppins which I thought was better, with the cherry blossoms composing the familiar silhouette that could be Disney but could be the P.L. Travers character...

i don't get the dislike for this poster.
by the way most of you are "carrying on" about this you would think it was designed by a 2 year old with a box of crayons.

It might as well be the movie poster. They need an iconic image/look that they've established for their other shows. Where you can have a symbol instead of actually saying the name and still know what it is. I wasn't impressed, but I'm hoping I will be by the show itself.

A pre-marketing logo on a website still isn't the same as an "official poster". It will probably change. The website isn't even live yet. For now, it's just a "coming soon" placeholder.
