According to the West End Board there is to be a production of OVER HERE! in the West End. Almost worth a trip to London, but with Frances Ruffele ?

AND the delicious Donna McKechnie as Patty Andrews.
Regardless...as long as they recreate Pat Birch's original choreography for the "At Charlie's Place" number then this is a MUST SEE!
I love Frances Ruffelle!
I don't know the show.
I remember it on Broadway with than unknowns John Travolta & Marilu Henner in bit parts
The show was great. The band kicked ass & the overture rocked the house with that horn section. This was the Sherman Brothers best effort
It played the Shubert & I think it may have closed early due to a dispute between the 2 remaining sisters
Don't forget there was also Ann Reinking, Treat Williams and a whole bunch of other unknowns in this original show too..!
Thanks. I totally forgot about them. This show may have had the biggest collection of people who went on to stardom
it was a really FUN show... saw it from the last row of the balcony at the shubert.. a whopping $4 back then! always hoped that encores would revive it at some point (it just cries out for an alice/emily reunion). i remember reading that the show just about killed the andrews sisters relationship and a planned tour was cancelled. i know maxine later did a regional production with margaret whiting but, after that, the show just kind of faded away. i believe frances ruffelle will be playing mitzi the nazi spy who becomes the third member of the sister act.
The cast album is great
I have a signed Playbill from them plus a Playbill sized black & white glossy of them in Over Here costumes signed by them they gave out
