So, was planning on rushing 9 to 5 for the third time tonight, but when I turned up at the Marquis at 3pm with reading material, iPhone fully charged and snacks ready for the 3.5 hours wait, the man in the box office said that there was no rush tonight. Still wanting to see the show, I asked if there were any tickets (single and anywhere in the theatre) for tonight and he said "no". "Not even premiums?" I asked and he again replied with a stern "no".
On one had I'm glad that this incredible show is playing to completely packed full-paying houses, but I'm also a bit dissappointed that I won't be able to see the show again before I leave
I then walked around the corner to the Imperial and asked if they had a rush/lottery/standing room policy for tonight, or any night at all, and the man in the box office gave me my third stern "no" of the afternoon. As I walked out I read a small placard on the box office saying that they had $42.50 student rush tickets. WTF!!
Anyways, went next door to the Music Box and bought a student rush (last row of mezz, dead centre). I'll report back on the show, which I missed earlier in the year in London.
