Anyone have any idea about which shows will be lined up for the six shows that they will be announcing? Also wanted to know how everybody (people who live in the LA area) feel about their most recent season. Bored? Excited? anything

Their current season is so/so. I couldn't even find 4 shows to put together a flex package. (Carol King is before my time, so passing on Beautiful) I just bought tickets to It/Then, Bullets over Broadway, and will buy for Cabaret. Most of the other shows I've seen recently and didn't feel the need to again.
The two for next year I'm assuming, but this is total guess
An American in Paris; playing a Nederlander house on Broadway and touring so I'd say it will hit the Pantages.
Hedwig; Unless NPH is reprising his role for Los Angeles, the three week run at the Pantages makes more sense then the Ahmanson.

I will see Bullets , Cabaret and maybe one other... I wasn't in LA while If/Than was playing. Next season who knows but hopefully something interesting

I've been an on-and-off subscriber for ten years. Did the Super Saver series with If/Then, Bullets Over Broadway, Once, and Beautiful.
Next year, I could see Something Rotten, Finding Neverland, Honeymoon In Vegas, The Bodyguard and An American In Paris at the Pantages. Fun Home, Curious Incident, and The King And I will likely play the Ahmanson. Hedwig is anyone's guess.

I also had a problem with finding four shows worth seeing this season when I got called about doing a mini-subscription. Beautiful is really the only "must-see" for me.
I'm really interested in seeing where Fun Home played. It would really work well in an extended run at the Taper, which is about the same capacity as Circle in the Square, but I doubt CTG would schedule something for an extended run these days. I worry that an intimate show like Fun Home will get lost in a big theater like the Ahmanson or Pantages. I cant't think of any real alternatives though. The Geffen, Broad, and Annenberg are all significantly smaller than Circle in the Square.

Please no for the Bodyguard its a hot mess of a show, and really should just be put to rest

Nothing can beat last season. Blockbuster over blockbuster. This season isn't that great except for ifthen with the obc, beautiful, and cabaret (at least for me). I think we will get The Bodyguard starting Deborah Cox (can't want to see this.. Don't care if it's bad), Hedwig, love never dies, something rotten, rent, and an American in Paris. Maybe Hamilton... There's only 6 shows but there will for sure be add ons I'm guessing.

That's exactly what i'm thinking. I have just some sort of really good feeling that the pantages will announce a sit down production of Hamilton either before 2016 is out or at the beginning of 2017. I just feel it would fit amazingly in the theatre. But I am also very worried about Fun Home going on tour. Finding theatres for that show will be hard. I thought that if they were going to tour with the in the round staging and go to huge theatres such as the Ahmanson or Pantages that they would reconfigure the orchestras (take out seats and move some things around like what they did for Carrie in DTLA) in order for the show to keep its broadway staging. But of course that would cost a lot of money

The entire set comes from the floor on Broadway. That would never in a million years work on a tour. They'll go back to the staging they had at the Public, using a turntable, I'd assume.

I have never seen Fun Home on Broadway, but if we're getting a national tour, it will be for a proscenium stage. (I would think if we were getting an LA Company at the Taper, it would have been announced as part of the 2016 season)
My guess would be the Ahmanson. Next To Normal worked there, similar small show. If they close off the rear Mezz and rear Balc, the Ahmanson is nice sized theater and not barn like. (they won't close them off for a musical, but they could and they don't sell subscriber seats beyond the moving wall.)
Spelling Bee & War Horse both toured w/o a thrust stage and were great, so I won't write off the production even if it's staged differently.
I didn't know Love Never Dies was touring. That would most likely play the Pantages. I'll be first in line for tickets.
