Wow, my first review! I was able to get a free ticket to this show and i was excited as the subject seems intriguing as I am a history major. Well, I walked up to the theatre to see a sign taped to the window that said , " this show is sold out" . Okay, I found that odd when I found out that pretty much everyone I talked to in my row and and at the interval had free tickets .
Regardless, here is the scoop; the choreo is great, and there are some stand out numbers and the cast is lovely. Here is the but, I found the story (book) really disjointed and dull. In my pov, some theatre lovers will like it a-lot, but this will never be a hit. There is nothing really memorable here and I can't see one tourist wanting to give up so much for so little. On my new IVYMETER, I give this show a 6/10. I hope to post more reviews as I see new shows. I can't wait for FUNNY GIRL.
