Amadeus - Pasadena Playhouse
 Feb 23 2026, 04:54:22 PM

Ah, sorry I missed that. Anyway, I completely agree with VernonGersch, this is a truly exceptional production that deserves a future life. Here’s the review I posted on a different thread after seeing it last week:

I caught the last preview of this tonight and thought it was terrific. It's a bit of a Gentleman's Guide reunion, with an outstanding Jefferson Mays as Salieri, Darko Tresnjak directing, Lauren Worsham as Constanze, and much of the same design team (

Instrumental tracks are recorded but the singing is live (and exceptional). No live pre-show music.

25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee Revi(Off-Broadway, New World Stages)

My apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere, but does anyone know how/when they select the audience spellers for each performance? Is it something one can volunteer for?

AMADEUS at Pasadena Playhouse with Jefferson Mays
 Feb 15 2026, 03:05:10 AM

I caught the last preview of this tonight and thought it was terrific. It's a bit of a Gentleman's Guide reunion, with an outstanding Jefferson Mays as Salieri, Darko Tresnjak directing, Lauren Worsham as Constanze, and much of the same design team (Alexander Dodge scenic, Linda Cho costumes, Aaron Rhyne projections). Sam Clemmett is a funny, tragic, and fully relatable Mozart., and the design elements and operatic voices are all top-notch. I've seen several productions

It’s doable, if you don’t want to eat or use a bathroom. It’s a bit more than 8 blocks (through crowds) from the Broadway to the Lyceum, and Gatsby tends to run until past 4:30, so that’s the tightest turnaround.

SWEENEY TODD at La Mirada
 Feb 1 2026, 04:09:37 PM

I'll be there on 2/22.  Every time I brave the traffic to La Mirada (which is a lovely theater) I promise myself I'll never do it again, so this obviously held some appeal for me

Telecharge: Exchanging tickets
 Jan 30 2026, 07:49:57 PM

I've successfully done what you asked a couple of times - purchased tickets, later got a discount code, and then did an exchange through calling Telecharge (technically a new purchase followed immediately by a refund of the old one) for better seats using the discount code.  On one occasion, they even let me repurchase the same seats I had previously bought at a lower price using the discount code, but I view that as a fluke from a customer service rep who was just having a very

THE FEAR OF 13 Announcement Coming Tomorrow?
 Jan 20 2026, 03:03:50 PM

Presale is on now with code AMEX13. Prices aren’t insane compared to other recent star-driven plays; I got a pair in side orchestra Row G for $176 each including fees. Balcony is $84-$125. I’m not a huge Brody fan but Thompson makes this one a must for me.

They might have some room for another extension, but Marcel on the Train is scheduled to start February 5, and also any extensions would probably be dependent on cast schedules etc.

FYI I'm going to be in NY the first week of January, and I wrote to CSC last month asking if there's a possibility of a further extension

Richard Linklater developing a film about Richard Rodgers & Lorenz Hart, BLUE MOON
 Oct 23 2025, 02:46:52 PM

I saw this a couple of days ago and thought it was wonderful. The script is funny, moving, and filled with tons of clever Easter Eggs for lovers of musical theater (and classic children's literature). Stellar performances all around, particularly from Ethan Hawke as Hart and Andrew Scott as Rodgers - both of whom should get Oscar nominations - with great support from Margaret Qualley, Bobby Cannavale, and others, and the usual impeccable direction from Richard Linklater. The fil

I’m desperately hoping to see this when I get to NY on January 2, which would require a three-week extension. Does anyone know if CSC generally builds extensions into their schedule and contracts? I have to assume with this cast an extension through the holidays is a possibility, and their next show (Marcel on the Train) is listed as February-March.
