PBS taping of NOISE/FUNK

Posted: 10/10/04 at 12:54pmSo when Savion took this on a national tour, what 2 years ago now? I read that it was being taped by PBS for release after the tour closed and now I've heard nothing. Does anyone know anything about this? When it might be showing? Just what happened? This was one of my favorite nights in a broadway theatre when I saw it for the first time and am looking forward to adding it to my dvd collection.

Posted: 10/11/04 at 5:39pmI don't really have an answer to your question, but did talk to Savion after a performance of Noise/Funk a little over a year ago, and he said the show would definitely be taped and released on DVD eventually. Whether that happens or not I guess remains to be seen. He seemed confident though......

That was my first Broadway show, and as someone who has tap danced my whole life, it was mind-blowing. I would love to see it on DVD.
On a related note, that IS him in the movie Camp, right? I mean, it seems obvious, but he's never credited, in the movie or on IMDB for it.
