#0PHANTOM OF THE OPERA question
Posted: 1/31/05 at 5:06pmDoes Sandra Joseph or Julie Hanson (the Christine Daaé alternate) perform on Wednesday matinees? About an hour ago, I purchased tickets for this Wednesday's (Feb. 2) matinee performance and got incredible seats... orchestra, second row center! I couldn't believe that they were available! I think they were the seats that are offered to the actors, but sold to the public if they deny them, because I looked at other Wednesday matinees up until April and no other matinees had seats that close available. I feel so lucky!!

I purchased them from Telecharge.com. My heart stopped for a few moments when I saw "Row BB" pop up on the screen!
I can't believe I forgot to say thank you... Thank you!

Posted: 1/31/05 at 5:19pmNo, I don't have a preference. Honestly, I've never seen the stage version, only the film and recordings, so it's completely new to me! My parents saw it in 1988 with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman and were absolutely dumbfounded by it. Especially my father, who was the biggest sports jock, so it was odd to see him swooning over a BROADWAY MUSICAL. I'm so incredibly thrilled to see it! My friend Jessica saw Julie Hanson as Christine a few weeks ago and said she was great, but I don't know anything about Sandra Joseph.

Yay for awesome last minute seats! I usually order last minute, and usually everything I have ordered has been sixth row or better (with the exception of Urinetown tour tickets). Millie Bway I had sixth row, 42nd Street tour I had fifth row, Producers tour I had sixth row, so a lot of times try ordering last minute and you can get decent seats!
From Julie Hanson Online: 1/23/05 - (unconfirmed by Julie) Julie's new performance days are Wednesday Evenings and Thursday Evenings. And Sandra Joseph will also been takening a vacation soon so Julie will be the principal Christine for the week.
Again, this is unconfirmed, but I'm sure either one you see will be great!

Oh, so Sandra might be there. Her vacation was last week, but it may last more than one week. I've only seen it with Sandra, but i'm sure Julie is good too. the show is really great right now - everyone is fantastic - especially Hugh Panaro

Posted: 1/31/05 at 5:27pmI saw it with Julie, and I also saw her in Bryant Park a month after (wish I got to say hello and thank her for a wonderful performance when I ahd seen POTO). She was great, definitely looks the part...young and innocent.
