LET US BE GLAD. LET US BE GRATEFUL. LET US REJOICIFY. I just had dinner with one of the creative associates putting up Pirates of Penzance at Barring Stage Company this summer. With Josh Bergasse choreographing and a fantastic cast, it appears they are looking for a Broadway home for the production in the spring of '17. I can not wait for this! Will and Kyle and Brit newcomer will certainly add a sexy and contemporary spin to such a dated piece. Can't wait to see it reimagined.

I'm really looking forward to this production. Barrington has such a stellar lineup for this summer.

At DISASTER last week, someone told Will that they hope PIRATES comes to Broadway and his response was something like "That's what we hope!"
I thought he was just bullish*tting and being polite because without an absolute mega "Hugh Jackman-esque" star, could a Broadway production of this show even stand a chance of success??

Because On the Town was so successful (financially).

I must write that you cannot beat the pricing. Happen to be up in the Berkshires for the show's first weekend in mid-July and I scored Saturday night tix (must be their preview) for $25 each-in Row H.
