I am currently compiling a list of all the playbills I have in my house.
http://playbillcollection.tripod.com/
At that site you can find my collection.
So far, the only thing I have put in were a few pictures of covers including Sweet Charity (Gwen Verdon), the original Oklahoma, the original Pal Joey, and a few others.
The playbills date back to the original 1943 Production of Oklahoma (with the original cast).
There is an original Pal Joey, Guys and Dolls,Streetcar, etc. (I don't even remember now).
Also Into the Woods with Gleason, Bernadette, et al.
It also includes the original Sweeney Todd...as well as a revival
Colm Wilkinson and most of the OBC of Les Mis.
Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman as well as the full OBC of Phantom.
There is an original Joel Grey Cabaret Playbill.
Many Ethel Merman and Gwen Verdon (including Sweet Charity).
Scroll down for the incomplete list (page 2)

Of course the three that I love are Ain't Misbehavin' (favorite actor - Andre de Shields), POTO (another favorite - Nick Wyman), and of course, Les Mis almost full OBC.
For other people, there is a The Wild Party (Lippa) - weird since I couldn't find LaChiusa's.

Thernardier, you've amassed an impressive collection of Playbills.
I'm impressed. I'm looking forward to seeing your site grow as you add more images to it.
I'm surprised that out of all the shows you have you don't have a playbill for "Promises. Promises" [1968] I would love to get my hands on that one.

I may have Promises, Promises.
As I said, I've only looked at 1/4 of them.
They aren't really in any order.
Plus, that Playbill may have been lost.
If I don't have it, I can put a request for it on the site for you.

What is a rip is looking at my old ones from the 1960's & seeing things like dinner in a nice restaurant for $ 2.95 . The other is seeing restaurants listed that are no longer there. Cigarette ads are fun too - long before the surgeon generals warning.
I really like the ones from 1964 with World's Fair ads. Now that is what we need in NYC - a World's Fair to end all World's Fairs. Unfortunately they are white elephants & the last really big ones were Expo 70 in Osaka & the one in Seville Spain in 1992. I went to Expo 86 in Vancouver & I had a great time

Rox - do you have from the fifties? With the Air Raid warnings in them?
Yeah, tickets were in the single digits...oy

Posted: 7/7/05 at 1:35amNot including seeing a show twice (like an original Sweeney, then a revival) and all the more modern shows, there is at least 400 Playbills around here.
