OK.. so I'm stressing out.. I'm trying to get someone to answer a question for me. I'm seeing wicked at the gershwin in row DD seats 10 and 12 and I've been hearing they are horrible seats. Please tell me they aren't.. I just got them for me and my boyfriend for our trip in May. I want to relax that we will enjoy the show and not miss all this stuff I'm hearing I will..
Please help!!

Posted: 2/26/10 at 7:11pmSorry, but unfortunately you purchased the only pair of seats that are actually located in the Orchestra pit. You'll be able to hear everything fine, but unfortunately the only view you'll get will be of the cellist's right elbow.

OH Well thanks for the advice.. computer was acting up at work.. was trying to post a new message, NOT IN OTHER THREADS.. but wow.. now that I know all "broadway" fans are SO willing to help.. I will bring a book and enjoy the SOUND of the show, since I apparently will be eating the cellist's elbow..
THANKS!

@kooky.. I was being sarcastic.. I can't imagine the seats being that horrible.. was just curious if anyone knew what parts I would miss, since I've never seen the show. That was all.
Sorry for posting in other threads.

These are the partial view seats? I sat in them twice and all you miss is part of the chalkboard scene and the house. Other than a few tiny things, they are generally fine seats. Beats sitting in the back of that barn.

Happy to help. Actually the only annoying part about them was the people behind me complaining about the view. I've had worse views on Broadway at full price. Honestly what you miss has nothing to do with the actors. It's a small part of the set. Big whoop!

I sat in these seats last night. HORRIBLE! There is a solution though, to get better seats. Go into the box office the day of the show wearing a chicken costume, balance a book on your head, stand on one leg, sing the score to Wicked, While replacing the lyrics with the words "BABABABABABA"
Works like a charm!
Enjoy the show!

Posted: 3/1/10 at 2:33pmIf you really wanna switch call and throw and b*tch fit, they'll change your seats. Say you paid for full view and you found out they are partial view.
