My auto mechanic's daughter is in a production of POMEII: the musical. It's playing in a theater in N. Carolina. He says it's one of the best things he's ever seen (of course he'd say that, his daughter is in it!). It's supposed to be Broadway bound.
Has anyone heard of it?

Yeah, I have heard of it. I worked with the lighting designer on a show in the New York Musical Theatre Festival. I don't know anything about the show...just know she was going to be heading down to North Carolina to work on the show. Should be interesting....
Ya, two of the leads graduated from my school in the last few years. One was the Emcee in Cabaret a few years ago and the other is John Davidson's daughter who is absolutely amazing and is only a year and a half out of high school. Should be a great show. Wish I could see it.

Yeah, John (my mechanic) mentioned that John Davidson's daughter was in it.

Dear God.
...Why?
I must agree with Iluvtheatertrash. This sounds like the worst idea for a musical of all time. What's next, making a musical about the Holocaust?
um...it's called Cabaret...and I think it worked pretty well...

Weird. It could make a pretty cool musical, if done correctly. I just hate when they title anything "blah blah: The musical!" it just makes it sound really campy.

Actually, according to a musical database I'm on there IS a HOLOCAUST musical. Can't believe they'd have the gall to do it
