I always find that when someone is recommending a show or suggesting that you should not see a show, you should look at what they are recommending as alternatives and what are the shows they have recommended in the past. It's pretty clear to me, and anyone who has been on this board for some time, that most of the recommendations of "Pacific Overtures" have come from people with a good track records for recommending quality shows and from people with some knowledge of what constitutes good theatre. Am I a theatre snob for saying this? Probably, but then again I really don't give a **** if someone thinks that because it's my opinion and as much as they are entitled to theirs, I'm entitled to mine.
