I have a question that hasn't been answered about Pal Joey and discounts. I want to buy a ticket for my upcoming trip from Feb 13-28 and have been looking around for deals on the show. So far the best I can find is a nytix discount code that expires 2/15 and offers 35% off. My original question was whether or not this is currently the best discount available besides a possible student rush (are they even doing SR? I checked the playbill.com rush article and it doesn't mention the show yet). However, after checking out the possible dates and seating for Orchestra, I found that ALL of the tickets available were on the extreme end of either side. I even looked at a few dates in January and it was the same situation. Why is this? Is it that it is that sold-out? It is that this site only offers these seats? Does anyone know? Thank you so much for your help!! :)
edited to say: on another thread it was helpfully suggested that I use Hiptix, which currently looks like my best best. Since I would prefer orchestra (but it's not a necessity) if there are any other deals please let me know. Oh, and does anyone know if the leads are contracted through February?

I could imagine this will follow the same Roundabout policy of half-price Student Tickets right before the show and General Rush. Hiptix will probably be your best bet, the mezzanine at Studio 54 isn't terrible.
And since it is only a limited engagement, it seems likely the cast will stay throughout the entire run.

Okay, very good to know. Thank you. Didn't realize this was a limited engagement, so that makes sense that they would stay throughout. Two questions though. When you say half-price student tickets right before, do you mean like the normal student rush where on days where there are two performances it would be that morning when the box office opens? Or literally right before the show begins?
And how isn't terrible is it? Can you still see the actors well? If you (or anyone else for that matter) could possibly compare it to the mezzanine for another show, I could probably get a clearer picture (but then again the only show I saw from the mezz. was the first time I saw Gypsy, so I doubt that'd be much help. I just recall enjoying it, but definitely missing out on a lot. Thanks again!

Roundabout sells half price tickets to Students based on whatever is left 30 minutes or an hour before curtain, I think, maybe it is two hours. These can be orchestra, mezz... really whatever they have left. Regular Student Rush for Roundabout is a General Rush, so you don't need a student ID to get Rush tickets when the Box Office opens. I think they are usually $21.50. So there really is no point to paying that much for Student tickets unless you have already used your Hiptix for the show and the General Rush is sold out.
By "terrible" I mean I have been in better mezzanines, but I have definitely been in worse. I saw everything in Sunday in the Park With George clearly and I think I was Mezz J. It is just a bit cramped from what I remember.
