This is not said to give CJR a stroke- but I heard a report the Pneaumatic Ms Pamela Sue Anderson has been approched to star as Roxie. Have the producers NO shame? Whoda thought there would be a fate worse that Miss Mellie!

Guess that's what they call "trusting the material."
I have nine words that would be worse, though: "Anna, Anna, Anna, Anna, Anna Nicole. She's so outrageous."

OH MY GOD! Why?!?!?!?!
Something tells me she'd be even worse than Melanie because along with having no talent she'd also be a complete airhead.

As far as I know this is strictly rumor right now. I heard this awhile ago -- and actually Toni Basil ("Oh mickey you're so fine, you're so fine you blow my mind, hey mickey!") was rumored as Roxie as well. At least she can sing and dance. To the best of my knowledge (note that phrase please), Bianca Marroquin is in talks to return to Chicago after her stint with the tour is over. Very coincidentally, her closing night in Philly on tour, is also Charlotte's closing night on Broadway.
We shall see though.
If in Heaven you don't excel, you can always party down in hell...
Miss Hooterific does NOT belong on a Broadway stage! She would break the stage with the weight of that silicone.
And maybe they can get Sebastian Bach to play Billy Flynn. That would be, um, quite the cast.
No this is not right!!! Ewww She has no class to be on a Broadway stage!

...neither did Melanie, David or That Streisand Woman.

Ok so if this is true what will her costumes look like and how would she fit in them? And how would she sing "funny honey" from the ladder? the wedight of her hooters alone is enough to make her tumble in to the orchestra pit!
I just want her to be in it so she can get terrible reviews.

OMG, i was in shock when i heard about it. I mean Pam come on. She wouldnt last a performance. Can she even sing? I wonder what Kid Rock is thinking about it.

A while back she hosted SNL and was very funny...very bright...you sense she got how to deliver a line and what campy phrasing was about....I must admit, I was taken aback!
While Chicago may not be the ideal property;
Why not a campy little revival of:
"Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter"
She would be a riot!

I am not a Pamela Anderson fan myself but I have to say she must be smart. She has to be to be worth as much as she is. Playboy alone owes her a lifetime of thanks for helping revive their magazine sales. (Oh wait, they buy it for the articles, I forgot).
Streisand had every right to be on a broadway stage and still does.
Hi,
the only thing I can say is 'May God save CHICAGO!'

Well they could have at least picked a rumor of someone we know that has talent and belongs on stage, CARMEN ELECKTRA, boobilicious that she may be, she would tear up the stage as a velma.

yeah carmen is pretty boobalicious...
Didn't the attempt to bring Carmen in a few years ago but decided she didn't have the chops? Maybe now that they seem to have lowered the bar a bit ...
I'd pay to see Carmen in 'Chicago.'
Well,
I would want to see Kerry Butler as Roxie. Will Kerry play Roxie in the future?
Ignoring that none of us have crystal balls to know what anyone will or won't do in the future, I don't think Kerry's the sort of full-go dancer that 'Chicago' requires.
(sigh ... yes, I know neither was Melanie Griffith ... before anyone says it.)
