Whee! This is some great casting. I happen to love Shonn Wiley a little, and Jayne Paterson (I know I spelled that wrong. 2 windows, too hard to look at both.) will be a fabulous Mother.

While Jayne will probably be wonderful, one can't help but wonder what Carolee Carmello (who was rumored to have callbacks for this production) would have done with the role!

Whoa. I love Jayne but I have been dying to see Carolee do it.
It's possible she just didn't want to leave Mamma Mia. Can't blame her. Paycheck versus New Jersey...

Ooooh, Carolee...

Jayne was Fantine in Les Mis, and is Helen on the Jane Eyre cast recording, among other things.

Carolee may not have wanted to take on the role of Mother due to the similarities with Lucille Rank, very different roles but with a common thread that has to be felt to be appreciated.

Just to clear stuff up, Carolee was NOT at callbacks, although that would be amazing..... plus my guess is that if Carolee was going to do the role she would not have auditioned for it, it would have been just an offer... but I'm sure Jayne Patterson will be great
