Okay BWW-ers, please don't be mad, I know this belongs on the off-topic board, but I need an actualy answer to my question and no one ever goes to that board.
So one of my friends is auditioning for HSM at the Papermill next weekend and she's curious to know if they pay the performers that they hire as local jobbers (local non-equities) under the Equity COST contract. I searched the Actor's Equity website and found nothing. Thanks for any help you can give!

I just found this on their website, which should answer your question:
Paper Mill operates under a C.O.S.T. (Council Of Stock Theatres) Contract with Actor's Equity Association (A.E.A.). Periodically, non-equity performers (EMC's or Equity Membership Candidates) are also hired for certain shows, including local performers (Local Jobbers).
Casting is done on a show-by-show basis. Required Equity Principal Auditions (E.P.A.'s) are held for all musicals and plays. Required A.E.A. chorus calls as well as non-equity chorus calls are held for each musical containing a chorus. Agent submissions are also used for principal roles. All auditions and rehearsals are held in New York City.
Hope that helps!
