Lots of parents are angry at current "American idol" contestant Toddrick Hall for not getting refunds for a failed musical he wrote and directed called "Oz the Musical." Read more here:

Didn't he produce, write and direct a production of "The Christmas Carol" starring F. Murray Abraham and Charo?

"Oz" was indeed the production Diana DeGarmo was in but from what I understand she did the show in February 2009 and got the hell away from it upon realizing what a mess it (and Hall) was. He subsequently continued to falsely advertised her on the website for months afterwards, which led to her name getting dragged into the controversy because some of those parents thought their kids would be performing with a former American Idol and a Broadway performer. He's arrogant and shady.

Correct. Diana did tour with it in Feb. 2009, but quickly left when the tour went on hiatus at the end of the month due to lack of funds.


And BeautyWickedLover, is there anyway you can fix the size of the link? Kind of a pain in the butt reading this thread.

As a professional theatre producer, I am disgusted by these operations that make children PAY for the privelege of being in a play for one or two performances.

Longgggg list of cities for auditions? And he's charging for auditions? And the web site is not even there...

Todrick says he's not responsible for refunding people since he's just the writer director, but look what's listed:

"Todrick Hall
Official Creative Producer"

Smells a little scammy.

It looks like he had the parents pay for DVD's that they never got, also.

Orrico was supposed to do the remounted tour, but it closed before she was able to join. It is my understanding that the actors from that part of the tour are still awaiting their money.
