Drat. Was really looking forward to this. On Twitter, he says it's because of his shooting schedule. I bet that show he's on films in L.A.

When I first learned of the date, I grumbled because I can't make it and am a huge Pasquale fan. Then I read he had to drop out, so I felt a little better. But then I learned the equally amazing pipes of Julian Ovenden will be on display. Now I'm back to being fully bummed. Full circle.

I booked my NY Pops subscription tickets a while ago. I think the only names announced then were for Sophisticated Ladies. Part of me was really excited to see Stephen Pasquale, especially after The Wild Party. But then Julian Ovenden was great in Show Boat. I don't know how I feel now.
This does seem very last minute. I was just at Carnegie Hall a few days ago and I think they had a big poster up with Stephen and Sierra.
