From today’s Briefing: Hearts Beat Loud, a musical adaptation of the 2018 indie movie of the same name, will hold its first invited reading tomorrow, March 18. The new work features a book by Ngozi Anyanwu, music and lyrics by Niko Tsakalakos, music supervision and arrangements by Brian Usifer, and direction by Whitney White. The cast includes Steven Pasquale, Terrence Mann, Lillias White, Pearl Sun, Thani Brant, and Samantha Williams. Tamar Climan and Paige Price are producing.
