Side Show
If only the authors would release the rights, a revival of CARRIE would be hugely successful........ it's such a legendary show that people would flock to it out of curiosity.
I would love to see a revival of SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE.... it is such a beautiful work, and a revival done right would make my day!!!
I would also like to see MACK & MABEL revived.....but obviously with a new book....... Jane Krakowski as Mabel would be heaven.
ONCE ON THIS ISLAND is also ripe for a revival.
And though I enjoyed RAGTIME, SIDE SHOW, & a few other titles mentioned in this thread, they are far to recent to be revived this soon.

City of Angels or Will Rogers Follies
Both haven't been on Broadway since, what, 1993?
I'd love to see City of Angels with James Naughton as Stone again!
Smile...I think it would *probably* do well. I could be wrong. Even if it bombed first time around.
In the vein of too soon, but I didn't get to see it the first time so I missed out: Ragtime, Marie Christine, Once on this Island, Passion, Master Class.

I'd love to see an all black revival of Taboo, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Hairspray.
Ragtime and AIDA!!!! I loved Aida and it would be awesome to see it again... I would love Jesus Christ Superstar as well
Pippin (expecially for a new cast recording)
Carrie (Finally for the very first and official cast recording)
Bye Bye Birdie
Rags
Anyone Can Whistle (with Patti Lupone as Cora)
The Magic Show (maybe with David Copperfield as Magic Man and Idina Menzel sing West End Avenue and Lion Tamer!)
Is There Life after High School?
I think it's just because I'm getting old, but when a show is revived and I vividly remember the original, it's just too soon (Into the Woods comes to mind).
I'm very surprised that no one mentioned Follies - of all of Sondheim's works, this is the one I've never seen, and would love to see a revival...
Surprise surprise..though I'd like to see it off-Broadway..maybe even back at the Cherry Lane..

there was just a revival of follies. there are other sondheim's that should be done.
Everything, there is no comparison between seeing the videos and actually seeing the shows live.
I want to see new work, but I also think it is the responsibilty of live theatre to keep the past works alive as well. There should be 4 or 5 limited run revivals every season, much like the work the roundaout puts on. Along with as many new shows as possible.
I would like to see everthing.

There was a B'way revival of Follies just a few seasons ago..... with Blythe Danner, Judith Ivey, Treat Williams, & Gregory Harrison. Too bad it didn't do the show any justice at all. The only redeeming value of that production was the amazing Polly Bergen.

alright, new idea. they offer more 10 year anniversary concerts? with the original cast in a concert setting. no sets or costumes. they can do it on monday nights when shows are closed... they can do like 4 mondays in a row and that's that. what do you think?
