I think the GMA website lists rules that apply to any signage the guests might want to bring, and one of those rules is that you aren't allowed to use any website names.

Dollypop!
I thought of you last night when Eric McCormack hosted the Critic's Choice Awards. What a cutie.
And,alas, GMA says that they can't cite a website on their poster...tho' it would be perfect!

I like the one asking him to sing--maybe he'd favor us with a bar or two...
*sigh* Emcee and Etheb are just in all the happenin' spots!

We're thinking about that. Hoping he'll sing anyway.

Just remember the phrase "beacon1 thinks you're fabulous!"
I'm considering it part of my "fair warning" before I go to the Stage Door of "Barefoot in the Park."
LOL!

Yes, Eric was adorable last night! Now why haven't they asked him to host the Tony Awards this year?

Dollypop...
A sad oversight...I think we should start a petition! :o)
I think he did quite well as the host--I loved him trying to get Tom Cruise to consider him for a movie during W&G's summer hiatus. LOL!

If you can't use the whole website name on the poster, what about just using the initials BWW on one of them? I have to remember to set the VCR.

i would love to include BWW, but yeah, we're not allowed to. and if we put "BWW," only a tiny fraction of the viewers would have any idea what we were talking about. i think what we came up with is pretty neutral and everyone can understand it! that's why we stuck to quotes from OK and POTO, instead of his more obscure stuff. anyways, it's... *counts* 33 hours away! squeee!

Well...given news of his engagement, perhaps:

Okay...everyone get ready to try to spot Emcee and Etheb in the crowd with their yellow poster.
Do BWW proud.
And, please-oh-please-oh-please, if you talk to him try to find out if "Barefoot in the Park" is still being discussed. Apparently shooting for "The Good Shepherd" has been pushed into late summer. That would conflict if Barefoot begins in the fall.

we're both short and cute, and we will beg our ways to the front, i'm sure you won't miss us!
asking about BitP is definitely a top priority, don't worry!

we're baaaaaaaack!
we were up at 4am and aaaah i'm so tired right now. i can't believe it's only 9:50. emcee is still computer-less, but i'm sure she'll steal mine when i'm done to add her 2 cents! right now she's eating fried rice on my floor. fried rice. at 9:50 in the morning. she's insane.
so we got there at 5:30 and stood out in the cold (relative--we thought it was going to be warm so we just had on fleeces, no hats or gloves. so even though it was like 40 degrees, we were COLD) for about an hour. everyone else there were like little old ladies who watch the show every single day and know all the anchorpeople and everything, so we felt a little out of place! but we had our sign and told anyone who would listen all about patrick
when we finally got in, we kind of alternated between standing around and cheering for the camera. the coolest shot we got to do was they focused on our sign, then panned out and the rest of the crowd closed around us. it was awesome!
so...patrick. he came into the room while we were doing a crowd shot, and as soon as we were done i noticed him and pointed him out to emcee. some members of the crew actually went up to him and pointed us out, saying "you've got some fans here!" he smiled really big and came over to us to say hi. i'll let emcee recap that conversation because she's better at remembering that sort of thing. beacon, i'm so sorry, but when *the man* was standing there in front of me, all my carefully rehearsed questions just sort of...vanished. don't hurt me? *hides* we got to snap a quick picture and then he had to go do the segment. emcee gets to do that part too but i noticed that his eyes kept darting between diane, who was interviewing him, and us, who were standing right behind her off-camera. i'm sure we had the biggest grins on our faces!
after his segment they had to change out the set for the next interview so he left really quickly. and then the show was over and all the little old ladies got to take pictures with their favorite anchors while we ducked out the door.
all in all, i'm not postitive it was worth waking up at 4am for, but it was fun

Woo Hoo. You guys are SUCH a team. This is twice now that you have met THE Patrick Wilson and gotten a picture. He is gonna start recognizing you--and in a nice way--not with fear, sobbing and chugging antacid. LOL
This is so cool and you two were on national television. Woo Hoo. And he came right over to you--What a sweetheart. I can't wait for Emcee's report about your conversation and the interview. And, its okay if your mind went blank...mine would be too. :o)
Congrats on another successful mission...you may want to hire out your services. If anythingm, the CIA may try to recruit you as a team. LOL
WOOOO HOOO ETHEB AND EMCEE!

Successful mission? What am I, Inspector Gadget? Kidding, of course. You know I love it. Did you watch, beacon? I'm assuming you're at work, but you best have taped it!
Anyway, yeah. I'm tired. And, it's ten a.m. and I just gobbled up REALLY greasy fried rice. I'm not feeling too great right now. But, we had a great time. Perhaps not *quite* worth hauling myself out of bed at 4:30 in the morning for, but it was a lot of fun.
Like etheb said, we had a sign, and some of the tv crew people had seen it, so when they brought Patrick out on the break before his segment, they sent him right over to us. The people who work on the show are really nice - they do a lot of stuff to keep the audience entertained during the down time, which there's quite a bit of. Patrick came over with that big, gorgeous smile, after we held up the sign so he could see it better. He read it, and we flipped it over for him to see the other side. He got a good kick out of it, laughed and said it was "awesome." Oh, and by the way... Patrick should perhaps get a prize for being lucky enough to have witnessed - and been a part of - one of this fan's ONLY real, legitimate conversations with a person of his caliber. He's always been really friendly and intent on holding conversations with his fans, rather than just signing authographs and being done. The sign we had asked him if he'd sing, but he chuckled and said no, it was a bit too early. Understandable, but we got a neat little surprise. Patrick asked if we'd seen the movie (who's he kidding?) and we said we loved it and have each seen in three times. He seemed kind of surprised... as he always does when he recieves compliments, though. We told him where we go to school and that we're first-years, to which he responded wanting to know our majors. When we said we didn't know, he was like "oh, well... what do you THINK you want to do?!" etheb told him her intent, but I said I have absolutely no idea. Should've told him I want to study theatre and journalism to be a theatre critic... scare him a bit.
He was sweet though, and said that's just what college is for. We took a picture with him right before he went on, and then he went onto the little platform to sit in the big, comfy chair. He talked to us a bit more from up there while he was waiting, asking what time we had to get up, get to the studio, and what we'd been doing all morning. Some of the other audience members seemed a little bit surprised that he was SO accessible. I'd like to think they were impressed.
The interview was very cute. Patrick talked a lot about the movie - and Diane Sawyer asked about the "Impossibly Perfect" nickname. He laughed and said it was great to work with Andrew. They showed a clip of All I Ask of You, and a clip of the cemetary sword fight when he talked about doing the stunts. He touched on the choir at his church growing up, since that's where he started singing, and said he didn't really get into theatre until college. He sang a couple of bars of "Man" from The Full Monty, too, and said that they wrote the song to be at the top of his range when they were first working on it in California.
I think that's all I can remember. Go watch your tapes, if you taped it!
Back to sleep I go.

He sang after all--woo hoo
Emcee thanks for the play-by-play and for helping him to show the crowd what a great guy he is.
I'm green with envy but so tickled for you.
Get some sleep and we'll "type" later. :o)

I'm an idiot. I completely forgot to set my alarm last night so I could wake up and tape this. Someone kick my ass now please.

Grr. I'm so tired, but my mom won't let me go to sleep. She's of the belief that naps are bad, and that I should just stick it out and go to sleep relatively early tonight.
But ahhhhh. Patrick. I can't get over how friggin' friendly this guy is. And gorgeous. *squeak* Those EYES.
