The way she goes on and on trying to squeeze a high note out of every song? I love Patti, and I would cast her in anything that fit, but not this.

Yeah, everything's coming up roses would be thirteen minutes long, and that is without the obligatory repetition of the song's ending after the applause dies down.

I am all for colored blind casting but this is wrong

Saw LaBelle in a production of HOUSE OF FLOWERS directed by Geoffrey Holder. She can't act (and Holder couldn't direct). Mama Rose needs to act.
