ashbash- despite our joking, Patti is not only wonderfully talented, she's surrounded by incredible collaborators. All three of her shows - Lady With The Torch, Matters Of The Heart, and Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda - are worthwhile evenings.
I hear that she varies numbers from venue to venue, but I saw Matters in the Fox Theater in Atlanta on a Saturday night. The house was only half-full (but the Fox is cavernous, so it was still a good-sized crowd). The program told us she "selected" from a list of songs in the program, but she performed every single number and gave each of them 100%.
After all of that, she was still incredibly gracious at the stage door despite her car being five feet away with the door open. She was obviously in a rush and there wasn't a large crowd, but she was still out there signing and talking when I walked away.
If you have the opportunity to see her, don't turn it up. You may just find that it is a highlight of your theater-going life.
