Patti LuPone A Memoir
Patti LuPone A Memoir#1
Posted: 10/11/10 at 7:33pmFinally finished it..a very intersting insight especially on the commercial theatre here in the UK...it was good to read what had happened on Sunset...so glad to see Mr Lloyd Weber being singled out for his inhuman treatment of people...but we all knew that and thats how you get on as a producer. BUT...what made me really mad, as a Stage Manager, was how Patti had a really horrible experience not being supported by the Stage Management teams on various productions (she always praised the ones who did look after her)....whats that about? Regardless of anything you look after your cast..even in a turkey..Hang your heads in shame whoever you stage managers were. I would chop off my legs to be able to work with talent like Ms LuPone. PS I have add that John Doyle is the best director ever to work with...I had the pleasure of working on his operatic directional debut on Lucia di Lammermoor here in Scotland and he is a true gentleman...and has a quite a few interesting broadway insight stories to tell... worthy of a book.
