The same.
In the NYPL listing for this it says:
"This pro-shot video, filmed for TV, reunites the 1979 cast of the Off-Broadway musical of the same name."
I can't find any info about an Off-Broadway run. Does anyone know anything about that?

There was no off-broadway version. That's a mistake.
That's good to know. Thanks!
(But now my inner cataloger is just dying to know how that ended up in the bib record.)
I think a Love Cycle reunion is in order.
I can't get "Round and Round" out of my head!
Also, I think LuPone's interpretation of the character is spot on. She knows what she's doing. I love Vidnovic's approach too.
I have this on DVD. I was expecting more, was disappointed.

I think she was spot on too! This was VERY farcical and she knew it so she played it up! She was hilarious. "How ya doin Debbie....SHUT UP!" Her knowing smirks were the best haha Best songs: The duet with Debbie, Round And Round, and I'm Haunting You.
Funny watching Patti look like an early MTV veejay.
Agreed sephyr. The last lines LuPone and Vidnovic share are kind of a genius little twist, and his dryness contrasts nicely with her histrionics

The puns are almost too bad to take! "I've castanet" was my favorite.
This is my favorite horrendously-wonderful thing since Tim Curry's "Anything Can Happen On Halloween."
"I'm Haunting You" is now my favorite Patti LuPone performance. So delightfully bad.
Love it!
Just received a brochure in the mail for Roger Williams University in Bristol RI. They're doing Love Cycle: A Soap Operetta as a senior directing project. I really can't decide if I'll see it. It'll probably be lots of camp fun. Though not nearly as much without Patti in it.
