I recently sent an email to Patti before she closed down the "Ask Patti" section on her website and in the email I asked her if she and Mandy were going to do a recording of "An Evening With Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin" and she replied:
Dear "broadwayboy5221",
Thank you for all of the compliments.
We hope to.
Love, Patti
Does anyone have any info or updates about this recording because i would really love to see this happen.

Posted: 7/2/09 at 10:22pmThat concert was probably my worst theatre experience ever, if not amongst the top few. A recording might not be bad, as my biggest issues with it were the sections of dialogue and the odd staging, both of which would not be on the CD.

Posted: 7/2/09 at 10:25pmThat concert was painful for me as well, and I could not imagine committing it to CD, especially with the extended dialogue and tepid, spare arrangements. It would be a total bore. Plus, I can't handle Mandy's caterwauling, but at least on CD I would be spared his incessant mugging.

Posted: 7/2/09 at 10:45pmYeah, Patti was still Patti, but even her rendition of "Everything's Coming Up Roses" lacked the intensity it did when I saw her in Gypsy. The whole thing seemed, to me, thrown together and lackluster. I still love Patti, though, but I hope she finds a better show next time around...

If this happened my life would be complete! :)
and "broadwayboy5221", I saw The Gypsy in My Soul in Vegas both nights and it was astounding!!!
From what I can remember.....she sang:
The Gypsy in My Soul, Nightlife, Make it Another Old Fashioned Please, The Man I Love, Do it Again, C'est Magnifique, I Wanna Be Around, Frankie and Johnny, I Never Do Anything Twice, I Regret Everything, Hello Young Lovers, Calling You, Get Here, Looking for Love on Broadway, Don't Cry for Me Argentina, As Long As He Needs Me, Bewitched Bothered and Bewildered, Everything's Coming Up Roses, My Way, The Way You Look Tonight, and Nights on Broadway.
PHEW! lol. I think that is all of them....and they may not necessarily in that order lol. But it was a seriously amazing show! <3
