Patti LuPone at Les Mouches on the Billboard Charts..

I don't think this was posted, but it's pretty cool. Patti LuPone's Les Mouches CD actually charted on Billboard. And it got mentioned in their weekly chart column.

The CD debuted at #25 on the top heetseekers chart. Here is the definition of that chart.

The best-selling albums by new and developing acts, defined as those who have never appeared in the top 100 of The Billboard 200. If a Heatseekers title reaches that level, it and the act's subsequent albums are immediately ineligible to appear on the Heatseekers chart.

And here is the mention in their column

This also could mean the album might chart in the Billboard top 200, between numbers 100 and 200.

I think it's pretty damn a cool that a live recording of a club act 25 years ago is actually charting and selling pretty good for a Broadway performer's CD. Bernadette Peters also charted on the Heatseeker chart in 2002, but only reached #39. I bet if Patti released another studio album soon she would chart in the top 100.
