It's not LuPone's vibrato.
It really is, though. I used to have the whole thing on audiocassette (the quality is as bad throughout).
I agree it sounds a titch sped up, but to my ear it's unmistakably LuPone. And if you heard the "Tell Me on a Sunday," there'd be no doubt in your mind.
Imma wait until Patti herself tells me that is her.
The same person uploaded Tell Me On a Sunday about six months ago. It's unmistakably her.
ETA: doodle, Patti is hardly the most reliable narrator of her biography.
Tell Me On a Sunday
Wow...I'm convinced. I would love for her to record an album of his music (wishful thinking of course).
The sped-up quality does make her sound different. But the phrasing on "Tell Me" can only be Patti.

^This! I'd actually love to hear Patti sing "You Must Love Me," though I'm pretty sure it will never happen.

I could've done without some of her facial expressions, but I find Heather's rendition to be quite beautiful and vocally thrilling.
Hey morons! IT'S PATTI! It's unquestionably unmistakeably her. I've heard her sing like that before. It is NOT Laurie Beacham.
Jesus Christ.
But think of the money you save by not buying toothpaste.
